The Deadly Jeffersons | That Empty House

The Deadly Jeffersons | That Empty House "That Empty House" is the final installment of The Deadly Jeffersons' third full release "Faith & Fear". The song follows the lumberman's expressions of faith off-set by the harsh taunting of his internal beast. The song functions as the final answer to the question of whether a prodded faith can overcome the depths of great fear, loss, and doubt.

Faith & Fear is a Post Rock album written over the course of a two year period by The Deadly Jeffersons. The recording was slow and took place progressively over the course of that two year period of time. The record follows the conceptual story of a lumberjack whose teenage daughter disappears one night. Not knowing whether she has left him, if she has been stolen away, or if perhaps she was never there at all, the ensuing crisis causes the lumberman to consider the concepts of faith which he has long embraced and face the fear which is consuming his soul. Every sound was selected for this narrative purpose. Please think responsibly.
