Being loved is not the same as loving.

Being loved is not the same as loving. Watch in 1080p (HD) + headphones

«In the town of broken dreams
The streets are filled with regret»

All people want to be loved. That is a deep desire. But not all people want to love. Being loved is a selfish's passion and we're all -more or less- selfishes. It fills our voids, it conceals our insecurities, it substitutes our loneliness. On the contrary, loving demands selflessness -and for that little are capable of. Loving is not a need. Being loved is. And thus, for both to be combined is a hard achievement which comes with great uncertainty: how much will it last? To love and to be loved is a beautiful pain, not a commitment. Those whom we once loved can never be forgotten, but those who loved us can. This beautiful pain is like the wind, it comes and goes and it may never return. And, when this happens, nostalgia, remorse start to bloom inside us. What mistakes did we make? Were we really in love at a time? And if we were, why we only remember pain? Because it is painful to love someone apart from yourself. As it is also redemptive. Lonesome town is not but a journey of self-depiction: our disproved expectations, our lost lovers, our broken dreams. All those parts of ourselves we want to escape, we hope to forget. Lonesome town is where we have to go, in order to find and discover our deepest self· in order to face our demons, to kill and reborn the ghosts of the past as an unbreakable part of the present, of the future. We have to accept and love that pain for what it is: a reminder of our lost innocence.
