Coronavirus outbreak: Trump lashes out at reporter asking about 'scared' Americans during pandemic

U.S. President Donald Trump lashed out at a reporter on Friday during the federal government Coronavirus Task Force briefing at the White House, after NBC White House correspondent Peter Alexander asked about the administration's efforts to make a coronavirus vaccination and whether the president's "impulse" to put a positive spin about the FDA-approved drugs for testing as a treatment was giving Americans a "false sense of hope."

After Alexander asked Trump what his message would be to Americans scared about the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, he replied by calling Alexander a "terrible reporter" and called the question itself "nasty."
