The veteran who took the MoD to court after being dismissed due to his sexuality The Ministry of Defence has announced that veterans dismissed from the military due to being gay will now be able to reclaim medals that were confiscated from them.

Falklands veteran Joe Ousalice took the MoD to court to get his medal returned after being forced to leave the Royal Navy in 1993 due to his sexuality.
