7 Ways Adventure and Dual Sport Motorcycling Will Change YOU

7 Ways Adventure and Dual Sport Motorcycling Will Change YOU Whether you're a brand new adventure or dual sport motorcycle rider or you've got thousands of miles under your belt, your life will be or has been changed by your experiences as a dual sport or adventure motorcycle rider. Riding a motorcycle off road, be it a dual sport bike or adventure bike, opens doors and plants ideas in your head that never existed before.

Lots of new rider tips and advice focuses on the technical aspects of riding a motorcycle, but very few seem to talk about the ways that adventure and dual sport motorcycling will change you as a person. I've identified seven pretty significant ways that being an off road motorcycle rider has changed me. First, I often find myself wondering where any random dirt or gravel road I see goes. I am immediately struck with a strong desire to go dual sport motorcycle exploring to figure out where it leads. I also want to ride my off road motorcycle in all kinds of inappropriate places, like in parks and on hiking trails, even though I know I shouldn't. Getting out into the outdoors on your motorcycle leads to other outdoor interests like hiking and camping. I care a ton more about the weather and the weather forecast now that I spend so much time riding a motorcycle off road out in it. I don't enjoy riding a motorcycle on the road as much any more. I have a newfound appreciation for the natural beauty and off road motorcycle riding areas all around me, and dual sport and adv riding has really pushed me outside my comfort zone and made me less lazy of a person.
