“In the “SSPC QP 3/AISC 420-10 Certification Standard for Shop Application of Complex Protective Coating Systems” joint standard, defines “Quality Control”, as the inspection of work. Inspection includes but is not limited to confirming that procedures are met; workers are properly qualified; equipment is appropriate and in acceptable working order; and the proper materials are used and are in compliance with inspection criteria.” In my opinion, this definition as stated for shop painting, can cover all instances of industrial painting.
