Is this set just a redo of the Heartlake City Beach Resort? Let's find out - Lego build & review

The Lego Friends Summer Fun Water Park looks a lot of like the Resort at first glance, but how different is it really? Well, externally it looks like a giant sand castle but more more fun (with more slides). The biggest Friends set of the summer releases, the Summer Fun Water Park (why can I never remember the name in the right order?) features four minidolls and quite a few unique pieces - the new tube slide is pretty darn epic. I'm excited to think about ways to customise these pieces, they're very versatile. Check out the speed build and let me know what you think of the set!

Hi! If you've just dropped by, stay and join me and I'll build for you while I review the set. I'll geek out about new pieces, interesting building techniques, giggle too much and just generally ramble. I'm easily distracted so I get stuff wrong which I fix up, mostly. But in the end there is always an awesome model, as per the instructions. Huzzah for Lego, the building and creating tool for anybody, no matter what age you are!

The Summer Fun Water Park set (41430) is packed with cool details to keep you entertained for hours. It has not 1 but 3 slides, including a new-for-June-2020 covered tube slide.
A swimmingly good time
For added fun there's a water cannon and a splash bucket that tips on the press of a button to douse friends below. It's not all about the water park splash fun. though. At the back of the model is a wealth of calming features to extend the play. You can imagine soaking in the hot tub, getting a massage or chilling in the sun loungers.

Introduce everyone to the happy world of Heartlake City, where they can go on adventures with LEGO Friends Stephanie, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Andrea, and all the other characters from the TV show. It's a place where they'll always find creative, fun friends waiting to play.
