How the World Sees the U.S. Right Now | Amanpour and Company As the federal government continues its militaristic response to the ongoing protests, many of America’s allies around the world are looking on aghast--a perspective reflected in the Financial Times’s recent editorial, “America’s Battered Moral Standing.” Roula Khalaf, the newspaper’s first female editor, says the administration’s recent actions are undermining America’s ability to hold the moral high ground with authoritarian regimes abroad. She speaks with Walter Isaacson about the changing perception of America in the international community.

Originally aired on June 8, 2020.
