*** Please note: I actually forgot to list one essential ingredient when making the cost-effective hand sanitizer (part II). After adding the Ethanol, you need to add Aminomethyl Propanol to neutralize the Carbomer and actually form a gel. Using TEA (Triethanolamine) is also an alternative. Hey Youtube, MDB here hoping everyone is staying safe and healthy. Our facility has been making soap around the clock but I finally carved out a little time to produce a brief hand sanitizer tutorial. There are actually two formulas that I am bringing to your attention. The first is essentially the CDC recommended hand sanitizer using alcohol and aloe. The second is more like the typical gel that Purrell and other manufacturers have made famous. (It is also more cost effective).
However, keep in mind that for both formulations the raw ingredients are hard to get at this moment in time. There is a supply-chain squeeze on Alcohol, Gelling Agents, Aloe, Aminomethyl Propanol...you name it.
