Governments are vastly inflating Covid numbers. Ignorance? Or Intentional? Fake News?

Why are the projections so high. The numbers tell a different story. Was this intentional or just ignorance?
A quick synopsis on why I believe that the Government in my areas is drastically OVER estimating Covid cases and Deaths.
