This video shows how to create a custom UTM grid that shows the full 6 figure grid reference in the bottom right corner and all other grid marks only show the significant digits, that is the digits that change at a given map scale. In addition, the WGS84 grid is shown as a secondary reference. This cartographic method is common in many mapping products and also shows some of the endless customisation options available when producing maps in QGIS.
