‘Eventually people need to go back to work’ or we risk ‘destroying the country’: Bolt

‘Eventually people need to go back to work’ or we risk ‘destroying the country’: Bolt Sky News host Andrew Bolt says personally he believes the “way we’re tackling this virus” seems “wrong” as “closing so many businesses and telling a whole country to stay at home is putting hundreds of thousands of Australians out of work”.

“Eventually we need to let people get back to work before we utterly destroy their livelihoods, their dreams, their savings and this country,” he said.

“That means shifting to far tougher monitoring of people who are sick, so they don't go out”.

He also said there should be “far tighter protection of the sick and frail” and “far tougher controls on our borders”.

Mr Bolt spoke with Dr. David Badov, the Head of Gastroenterology at the Frankston and Rosebud Hospitals and Director of Endo X, who discussed a new coronavirus testing kit which is set to be rolled out next week.

"What we're doing is, we're bringing 500,000 of these kits next week to Australia," Dr Badov said.
